Celebrate America’s 250th & Valley Forge’s 50th with Us!

Celebrate the Spirit of 1776

On July 4, 2026, join us at the Maurice Stephens House in Valley Forge National Historical Park for a day full of history, music, and fun! As a House of Declaration, we’ll host three public readings of the Declaration of Independence, each accompanied by patriotic music to set the tone.

Bring the whole family and enjoy:

  • Live music & performances throughout the day

  • Interactive activities for all ages

  • Food and refreshments

Experience history and celebrate two special anniversaries with us—the nation’s 250th and the Park/Alliance’s 50th!

Valley Forge Park Alliance is proud that its headquarters, the Maurice Stephens House, will serve as a House of Declaration this July 4th, bringing history to life as part of the Park’s semiquincentennial celebrations.

Step back to 1776 and hear the Declaration of Independence read by community members in three public readings at 10:00 AM, 12:30 PM, and 3:00 PM, each accompanied by patriotic music.

NOTE: The Maurice Stephens House interior is not yet open to the public. All festivities on July 4, 2026 will be outdoors. Stay tuned, as we hope to open the house later in 2026.

Set on the Grand Parade, the historic lawn where Revolutionary War troops once stood, this space radiates history and dignity.

Stroll, pause, and take in the sweeping views; feel the weight of the past and the spirit of community that has made this place revered for generations.

We’re thrilled to welcome Aneu Kitchens as our new cafe partner in the Maurice Stephens House! Enjoy a selection of fresh, flavorful food and beverages throughout the day, perfect for fueling your celebration or exploring the Park. From savory bites to sweet treats, Aneu Kitchens brings taste and hospitality to your historic July 4th experience.
