Guided Valley Forge Encampment History Walk

Walk back in time this autumn with an immersive, three-mile guided tour through Valley Forge National Historical Park. Hosted by Colonel (ret) John McFassel, this exclusive event uncovers the high-stakes history of the American Revolution leading up to the historic winter encampment.

Each walk begins with a summary of the first two years of the war and an overview of the British campaign plan for 1777. In recognition of the September anniversary, this specific walk features a special spotlight on the Battle of the Brandywine, exploring how this pivotal engagement and the broader Philadelphia Campaign directly shaped the fate of the Continental Army.

The route stays strictly on smooth, fully paved walkways. We will depart from the Visitor Center, walk to the iconic National Memorial Arch, and return along the same paved path.

The round-trip loop is approximately 3 miles. The walk will be conducted at a leisurely, steady pace over the course of two hours.
